How to Create Natural Crystal Patterns with Palm Wax

Palm wax is loved by candle makers for its ability to form natural crystal-like patterns as it cools. To achieve the best results, temperature control is key.

Melt Temperature: Heat palm wax to around 200–210°F (93–99°C) until fully liquid.

Pour Temperature: Pour between 185–195°F (85–90°C). Pouring too hot will reduce the crystal effect, while too cool may cause rough surfaces.

Cooling: Allow the candle to cool slowly and evenly in a room without drafts. Sudden cooling can disrupt the natural crystal growth.

Containers: For stronger crystal patterns, try using pillar molds or thicker glass containers.

👉 Pro Tip: Don’t reheat or disturb the wax once poured. Letting it set naturally will create the most beautiful, frosty crystal designs.
